End of week 18 Reflection

This week, I ended up Creating a Youtube account for my video to be uploaded to so I could get some subscribers, viewers snd likes. I have given it a week to get my feedback.

I then had to sort out Uploading my product to my chosen platforms including facebook which was Frank’s page, a Liverpool culture and history group and my youtube account.

I then created a Questionnaire -finished product after I finished my product, I put the link to my video on my youtube account at the top so that my audience can watch it before answering my questionnaire.

I did my Audience and Questionnaire Feedback which is from the questionnaire I created at the beginning of the week and the feedback I got from uploading my my final product onto my chosen platforms.

I finished off with my final evaluation which is what ties this final project together which is an analytical and reflective piece that addresses key and crucial points of the project and how I addressed throughout.

Uploading my product

I have had Frank, the historian upload my work onto his Facebook which I was using as one of my original platforms to upload my work on because he has thousands of people on his Facebook. He uploaded it today when I sent him the link so I am waiting to get my feedback from that. I will be getting feedback and looking at the views, shares, likes and comments.

Someone who has Frank on Facebook commented telling me he was going to share my work on another group on Facebook called The Only Way is Scouse so I have been invited in to the group so I can see the feedback I get from them. The group isn’t as big as the other groups but I need as much feedback as possible.

I got the moderator for In My Liverpool Home Facebook group to upload my video which I spoke about in my Platforms research. This account has many members so I am waiting for their feedback which I will also be looking at for the likes, comments, views and shares.

I also spoke to the moderators for another Facebook account called Liverpool History Society last minute so I can get as much feedback possible, so I have enough feedback for three different groups and people on Facebook. I asked if I could upload my work myself so that I can see the feedback and get the notifications.

I have also posted my video on to Youtube and called it ‘The Culture of Liverpool’ I am waiting to get some subscribers, likes and views before I do my audience feedback blog.

Creating a Youtube account

I have created a youtube channel for my project, I named it the Culture of Liverpool. I created a new email and created a whole new account.

The first thing I did was upload images to the header and to the profile picture. I used an image of the Liverpool Skyline that I got from Creative Commons, this was to let the audience know that it is a page dedicated to Liverpool and my profile picture is a screenshot of the shot I used in my montage at the beginning of my video which was the Beatle’s statue by the waterfront, I used this because this is one of the most famous iconic attractions in the city and the Beatle’s are one of the most famous bands in the world.

I got my inspiration from an account called Culture Liverpool, they have their header of the skyline of the city and then their profile picture is their name in black and white. I didn’t make a logo for my account so I just used an image I took myself. I mentioned this account when I did my. Platforms research.

I will upload my documentary up onto my account once I have gained some subscribers and then wait until I have all my feedback to do my audience feedback.

Sorting platforms

Now that my whole documentary has been edited, I have been in touch with Frank and one of the moderators for a group on Facebook. I messaged someone called Ian Paul Pendleton on Facebook who is one of the administrators for the group ‘In My Liverpool Home’ which I spoke about in my Platforms research

I sent him a message telling him that I have created a short documentary on the culture of Liverpool and I was asked if he was able to post it on the page for some feedback. He agreed to do it for me and I sent him the link to it on my google drive and he replied asking what heading he should put for it and I replied a short documentary on the culture of Liverpool so that the viewers and audience know what it is about and what type of things to expect.

I sent the link to Frank later on today and just told him that it was completed and wanted to know if he would upload it to his facebook because he is well known by many people and has thousands of friends on there. He said he was okay to upload it for me. I sent him the link to my project and I had some great feedback from him. He then mentioned about him sharing it on his Facebook page again and then going on his radio and also posting it onto his radio website.

I haven’t messaged the twitter page yet, I will do once my youtube page has been created and the documentary has been uploaded to it which I will do on the weekend.
